Interview with MVP J. Peter Bruzzese on Office 365 Security and Training - Live from Microsoft Ignite 2017

In this interview with Microsoft MVP,  J. Peter Bruzzese, David Davis of ActualTechMedia chats with Peter at Microsoft Ignite 2017 about Office365 Security and how to stay up to date on constantly changing technology.

From the Mimecast booth, Peter first provides his take on the Microsoft Ignite 2017 Keynote. He says that he enjoyed the keynote as it showed Microsoft’s ambitious vision for the future around technology such as the Internet of things (which Microsoft calls Intelligent Edge) and how Microsoft is integrating their Cloud offerings with integrations around the Office365, Azure, and LinkedIn platforms.

Next, Peter talked about the end user computing video training company that he founded – ClipTraining.com. Created over a decade ago to provide end users the technology training that they needed, the ClipTraining.com website has been recently refreshed and redesigned to take it to the next level. With new training around Office365, you can consume on your desktop or mobile device.

From there, Peter told us the story of his Conversational Geek line of books. He wants these to be fun and easy to understand technology books that use cartoons to help you visualize and learn technology concepts. Besides topics like Office365 and Exchange, the lineup now includes books on topics like SD-WAN, Internet of Things, and Rocket Science. The ConversationalGeek.com website has been recently redesigned and you are now able to download all their books, for free.

And finally, Peter talks with David about how companies of all sizes are moving to Office365 in the Microsoft Cloud. As part of any on-premises infrastructure, companies have always needed (and used) 3rd party solutions to increase the availability, data protection, security, and compliance of Exchange. With Exchange moving to the Office365 cloud, these 3rd party solutions are still needed and critical for companies of all sizes. Mimecast offers the availability, data protection, security, and compliance of Office365 – all from a single provider.
