How IGEL Is Redefining Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
“It’s the year of VDI!” How many times has that been said over the years? In reality, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) has settled into a solid place in data centers, and while no longer “hot,” is actually in a better place now – it’s useful! To that end, ActualTech Media CEO Scott D. Lowe interviews Simon Clephon, VP of Business Development and Strategic Alliances at IGEL Technology, in a RoadCast video about the topic of VDI and where it is today. Clephon touts IGEL’s ability to deliver “fast performing, highly-secure, very well-controlled endpoints” to organizations, and goes into detail on how they achieve this.
In the second RoadCast video, Clephon takes a closer look at how the IGEL magic works. The “secret sauce,” he explains, is the “Universal Management Suite,” or UMS. The UMS, which is free, manages the endpoint devices and provides the performance and security demanded by organizations today. Take a look and see how far end user computing has come; you may find it’s time to reevaluate what you thought you knew about VDI.
